Delicatessen

I really enjoyed this dark comedy film. I love Jean-Pierre Jeunet's work, especially Amelie. I definitely liked Amelie better, but Delicatessen is still a great film. It is so imaginative and very funny. One of my favorite scenes is the part where Louison and Julie are in the flooded bathroom and the water is close to the reaching the top. There is so much commotion going on but for those few seconds when they go underneath the water, it is peaceful and just them two-where they share a passionate kiss. I really liked that. I think my favorite part about the movie is how they used the Australian blade to show even more of the good vs. the bad in this film. Louison says the blade is only as good as the owner (or something like that) and when Clapet threw the blade and came right for his head, it was what he deserved. The blade was only as good as Clapet, a murderer.
